Murphy Got "Buzzed"

I'm feeling like a "blog hog", so please forgive me. Today was a traumatic day for Murph (and me too). I could no longer handle the mats from the "coat change", and he could no longer handle me trying to remove them. We were both on our last nerve, and there was no way I could keep up with them. So his gorgeous coat is now in the trash at Petco. I knew this would be difficult for him, so I made poor Guinness go with him....poor guy didn't even need a grooming. The groomer was really sweet, and took it slow giving him lots of breaks when he got really upset. It took four hours, and he and Guinness were her only customers. When I brought him home, DH and I couldn't stop laughing...every time we looked at him we got hysterical. I think he knew it, and he wasn't happy with us. He looks like a "gangly teenage boy"...all he needs to complete the look is a little acne and a Taylor Swift crush. Apparently Guinness thought he was looking pretty handsome, because from the time they got home he has not stopped "humping" Murph. He's figured out that if he "lures" Murph upstairs with the tennis ball, they will get to have their "humping fest" without me putting a stop to it. I'm onto them now though. Here are some of the sad pictures of poor Murph....although I will always think he's a VERY HANDSOME DOOD.

I think Murphy looks fantastic...I love it. I remember how shocked we were with Chewie's first "real" haircut, but now I wouldn't have him any other way.

GBK and Cheryl....the problem is that Murphy actually likes it when Guinness is humping him. He never acts upset about it....I think he thinks it's just a way to play. The only one it really bothers is me.

I keep Oliver that short, I hate the mats, and I think they look cute that way, lol, and he doesn't seem to mind my brushing him since we have no mats to contend with...I love how soft they feel too...

I think they look great Jane, really cute. Oliver always humps Rennie when we come in from an outing, and I literally have to pull him off him. Rennie is 14 yrs old and doesn't care what Oliver does to him...My only question is why does he do that when I bring him in from a potty break and not when my husband brings him in? I think he does it because he knows I hate when he does that...I have tried the down order, the get off of him yell, etc etc etc...I am just afraid that Oliver will hurt Rennie;s back or hips...

They look wonderful Jane! Buddy tries to hump Kona all the time, so I taught Kona to "down" as soon as he gets on top of her. It works like a charm he just walks away :) It makes me laugh when Kona climbs on Buddy and he just sits there and looks at me LOL All he has to do is stand up!

He does look really good! The groomer did a nice job. Strange how they behave after getting trimmed, like they are walking around with people looking at them nude!
