Murphy is Three on Dec 18th.

Murphy is three years old tomorrow. He is our first dog and like a first child, we learned a lot from him and he made us into the dog lovers we are today. Here are some of the highlights of his life with us thus far:

Meeting Murphy at the airport, he is 8 weeks old and flew in with his littermate who he gets to see several times a month still.

 

He travels his first 6 months in our RV across country sitting in my lap

By 6 months old he was rock climbing in a 4 wheel drive practically vertical a lot of the time.

He learned to love the pool in his first year with us.

By 18 months he was an expert fisherman and deckhand.

He learned to hike rocky mountain trails

And by his second birthday he became a big brother to Bella.

He has spent his whole third year teaching her the ropes and being the best dog we could ever have asked for.

So Happy Birthday Murphy-Man. We love you!

Murphy says "thank you everyone, my mom and dad made this just a great day! We went for a long walk this morning and I got to stop at all my favorite bushes and hot spots for cat smells. Then we got to go for a car ride to the pet store where I got to sniff all around and mommy said I can have anything I wanted. Woo-hoo! There were a lot of people there and they all seemed to want to come say hi to me and pet me.
Then we got home and my mom gave me a new huge antler that I got to chew on all afternoon. And since it was cold and rainy out, dad and I took a long nap in bed and he rubbed my belly for the longest time.
Mom cooked a nice dinner for me of chicken and sweet potatoes and some veggies. Then I got a cookie for dessert. Something she baked with all the girls yesterday. Gingersnaps she called them. They were really good. Of course I shared everything with Bella cuz she is still a baby and doesn't understand birthdays and that it's not hers. So now I am playing with the new balls mom got me and looking forward to another belly rub from my mom before bed. All in all, I had a great birthday..thank you all."
