Murphy's Biopsy results

Murphy's biopsy results are in and it is melanoma.

We are headed to LSU Vet School tomorrow to meet with the oncologist.

I pray that it is localized. I don't know how I could have found it any sooner.

First, thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. I logged on briefly this morning and it lifted my spirits so much.

So far all of the news is pretty good. His lungs are clear and the lymph node biopsies were clear. They want to do further testing on the original tissue biopsy before deciding a course of action.

They found another (unrelated) tumor which will be removed very soon. They think it is a hemangioma (good) or a hemagiosarcoma (not so good).

I was very pleased with everyone there, and of course, everyone wanted to know what Murphy was. It was a very long but good day

Linda, we are sending all love and prayers for Murphy.  Being in the middle of the same situation with Penny (mast cell cancer), I can empathize and know how worried you must be.  Keep us posted - and if you need anyone to talk with, let me know!
