I have been without internet, television, or home phone since last Thursday! I have had a chance to check in on Janet's blog from work, but not much else!
Here's Why:
Lizzie, my adorable/loving/wonderful puppy chewed through the cat-5 cable outside from the phone box. That one line had all of my connection to the outside world! I can't really get that mad though, because it was really poorly installed and just laying across my back deck. Plus, she was outside while I was sleeping after work one morning. It must have been more fun than all of her chew toys and sticks. It doesn't have electricity, so she at least couldn't get hurt. Luckily, it got fixed today, so I am here catching up on all things DK. Funny story, I don't know who fixed it....I hadn't reported it to AT&T and my landlord is saying he didn't do it. So thank you mystery cable-man.
Lizze was 4 months old on April 2, and only 18 pounds (but she's eating lots). Jason (DBF) took her to the vet yesterday for 2 more shots and a check-up. She's healthy!!! She also will be getting spayed at 6 months old. She has 4 adult teeth on bottom and her 2 top front teeth in! She knows sit, paw, lay down, and has some stay (I can take about 4-5 steps away from her). We start Puppy Classes in early May! We'll probably be the oldest in the class, but hopefully they'll let us in. I just wanted to make sure the Parvo was totally out of her system so she's not contagious to the other puppies.
No new pictures yet; I've been a lazy Mommy.
ADDENDUM: My doorbell rang this morning, I wake up to find the AT&T man standing there! I found my mystery cable -man! My Hero! Then he proceeds to tell me that when Lizzie chewed my little insignificant wire, she managed to cut service to the WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD!!! For almost a week!!!!!! (I hadn't reported it, figured I'd get my landlord to fix it). So they have been checking everyone and finally went to the main box and unlpugged everyone's service...then started plugging them back in one by one and when they got to mine, it shut everyone down again! It's not totally her fault, since it wasn't installed right nor grounded. But still, I kinda feel bad that my whole neighborhood has been without tv/phone/internet thanks to my little Lizzard. HEHE! That wins the prize for good story this morning!
Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes!
