I cured my addiction!! (well, sort of)

So I am so obviously addicted to DK and to my doodle. So addicted, in fact, that I have let housework and chores fall behind in order to spend more time with Lizzie and getting all of the updates on DK. Laundry has piled up (except for the necessities), dust has coated the furniture, dishes were dirty, and nothing has been ironed for a while. (Adina, It's all your fault!!) Haha!
This addiction was very evident today by the fact that my 4 month-old puppy had never met my vacuum cleaner!! That red noisy machine was just very confusing to her. So was that funny swiffer thing that squirted strange-smelling stuff on the floor! I spent the evening away from DK and caught up on all the chores around the house; I cleaned the microwave, did like 8 loads of laundry (amazing for 1 person), scrubbed the bathroom, did dishes, and cleaned, cleaned, cleaned!

Okay, this was all spurred by an hour of television. While I was working on some homework, "How Clean is your House" came on the BBC. I convinced myself if my addictive habits with DK continued on, I would be able to appear on that show! So needless to say, Lizzie met my noisy red vacuum cleaner, dry swiffer, wet swiffer, and everything else!

But, my cleaning frenzy has ended and I have returned to my usual DK activities. Let's hope Lizzie meets the vacuum cleaner again before she's 6 months old! :-)

Sidenote: Lizzie learned the difference between rugs and wall-to-wall carpeting today. She figured out that she can lift and move the rugs in the dining room and bathroom, but not the carpet in the living room. Very smart doodle; will be a home-decorator soon!

My husband could not figure out how I was spending all of my time!!!! Until I showed him the site, and my page...he still said he really would like the laundry done and some kind of dinner made!!!!! As for rugs, it took forever to break my 2 of thinking that the throw rugs were tug toys...they were just soooooo much fun!!

Fenway ate a hole straight through our carpet in the bedroom all the way through the carpet pad too! We were not too happy, but we couldn't be mad at her because we obviously weren't watching her. She actually did it at night right after we started letting her sleep out of her kennel. Well that was all she wrote for that for a while so do watch out!
As far as the addiction goes, I'm right there with you. I'm actually at work right now. Shhh

I really think a DK Addicts support group is a great idea! I volunteer to be the "on call" person who sits at the computer all day monitoring the group, and encourages everyone to get back to their work! LOL!

don't worry, you'll get good at sweeping floors, then checking on Dk, mopping floors, then checking on DK, dusting, then checking on DK, you get the point...
