Although Holly only weighs in at about 55 pounds, she is a very powerful dog! Last night I had Holly on a flexi-lead to go on her night time potty. I had her on the lead because it has been raining and I didn't want her paws to get muddy.
Somehow she tangled her lead with a plastic hose-mobile. And started to drag it. Hearing the noise of the dragging hose cart, I turned around to see what was making the noise. At that time the cart fell over with a loud noise which scared the daylights out of Holly. She began to run full speed away from the noise. I had my back to her and was holding on to the flexi-lead. When she came to the end of the lead the force of the run caught me off balance and spun me around. I ended up on my face. The upper half of me landed on the grass while from ribs down to knee, I hit the cement path.
Nothing was broken but, I am certainly sore from ribs to knee. I feel like I did when I played football against a particularly strong defensive line. Only, I am a lot older now!

I am glad nothing was broken and hope you are feeling better by now.
As I grow older, it takes longer and longer for my ancient body to heal. However, I am over the worst of the pain now....
Sorry to hear this Richard, hope you feel better soon!
Ouch! I hope your aches and pains are better soon!
Sorry about that Richard. Yes, it is about like a football tackle. Sometimes I have a hard time walking my two dogs at the same time, other times it just seems to work fine. Hope everything is okay and you did not break anything. It sounds like a nasty fall.
Glad you're okay! That sounds like a nasty fall!
Oh wow richard, I hope you went to be checked out to make sure that you didn't crack a rib, or something like that...Yes they are very strong...Oliver got scared by someone riding a bike, I tried to hold him, as he wanted to run into the garage, and I went flying, on the cement driveway...i broke my wrist, and cracked a rib, so please make sure you are ok..feel better...
This sounds frightening and painful!
Oh, Richard, I hope you feel better soon. Maybe if you had fallen in the mud, it would have been softer! :-}
