It was a beautiful afternoon so I went outside to do some gardening. I wanted to pull weeds in the flowerbeds and trim a few bushes. My labradoodle, Moose, was very interested in everything I was trying to do. He really wanted to help! I started by pulling weeds. Moose dug down to the cool dirt, displacing many weeds and some mulch, and made himself comfortable right where I wanted to weed.
I tried to get him to move, but he was having too much fun helping.
Next, I moved on to trimming the bushes. My husband was working on trimming our Japanese Maple tree. He threw the discarded branches into a neat pile on the driveway to make clean up easier. Moose had other plans for the branches.
Finally, it was time to clean up. I picked up piles of weeds and branches. Moose decided that he would help clean up too. He grabbed my kneeler and took off with it.
Moose thought that he would put the kneeler away himself. "Hmm, this looks like an excellent bush in which to bury the kneeler," thought Moose.
Moose is such a great helper! Gardening is so much more entertaining with him around. I absolutely love my doodle!
