My Murphy is 2 today!!!!!

So hard to believe he is 2 already. He is such a joy. He's had a day filled with hugs and belly rubs and bully sticks and a HUGE bone. He spent hours chewing away. Dad found a really cool gift at the sporting good store. It's a bird used to train hunting dogs.  He loves it!!!  Just wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my #1 doodle.   (oops, sideways :)  )

Murphy is so touched by everyone's B-day wishes. He told me this morning that he wishes he could give every single one of you a great big sloppy wet Murphy doodle kiss!! He love kisses. Yes, he had a great day. Is just resting today from all the excitement. I just asked myself this morning "How is it I love this doodle so much???"

As some of you may know, Murphy is DH's and my first dog ever, in both of our whole lives, separate and together. I was so against dogs or any animal living in a house, or anything else I had to feed, bathe, clean up after besides children. DH was totally on the same page for over 36 years until I met my daughter's Goldendoodle Marley, who completely changed my way of thinking about dogs.

DH was still against it when I told him I was getting a dog, said "don't make it my problem" and now.....well let's just say DH likes to think Murphy is HIS dog. And I let him, because he brings him such joy. So much so that when April asked us about being ready to get a second it was DH that didn't hesitate to say yes!!!! So now we have Bella, who I have bonded with on a whole different level. Kind of like having a second child. You love them the same, but it's just different.

Yes, i have to admit that I had to do my own taste testing this afternoon. Murphy has only tried to get up on the counters a few times and the trick with the baking sheets worked great. Obviously better than even I expected.
