After trying for several years to put up temporary puppy enclosures and struggling to keep them inside of those enclosures, I finally got some kennels and put them together to make a play yard for the pups while they are here--I have been picking up some bigger toys for it and also got a big piece of artificial turf to cut down on the mud until the grass grows in...We had to clear the snow off the ground first and then we assembled everything. Here are the pups exploring the new set up and experiencing some sun and wind for the first time--they were so tired after just 15 minutes!

How fun!! Those are some very lucky puppies...
That looks great! They definitely seem to be enjoying the great outdoors.
Wow..have they gotten big. What fun!!
Great play yard! Love the little puppy tails.
If you look closley--you can see Lyric outside the pen in the first pic over to the right--every time she went by the fence, the pups would all run over to try to nurse --they have a bit to learn about fences and it took a few head bumps into the fence to realize that they couldn't get to her-poor little things! I have an interesting situation with Lyric as she doesn't like to hang out with the pups once they reach this age--she feeds them and wants to leave them when they are done, so they do not learn to just BE with mom without eating--so I have to do that with them--just sit in the pen or the kitchen and be there with them playing and teaching. When I see momma dogs just lying near their pups and everyone playing around the momma, I am amazed since it is so hard to get that to happen in my house!
Oh how fun for them to get out and play. and i bet it gives Lyric a break too! Those babies are more delicious with every update LOL!!
