Hi friends, Whopper here. I overheard my mom telling someone today that my world is about to get rocked...I didn't quite understand what she meant and didn't think it could be that bad since I sometimes play in some cool rocky areas. I decided to go with the flow until I heard the words that so many of you have warned the rest of us about.

I'm getting a little BROTHER!

My mom says he is coming on Friday from Texas and I'm not sure where that is but I guess it doesn't matter at this point. They keep saying the name Simba so now I know they must be talking about him and not the one I saw on TV one day. He is only 14 weeks old so I just know I have a pretty major task coming up. I just don't know where to begin...do I first teach him where to go potty so he doesn't mess up the places I like to sleep or do I teach him what toys are mine and not to be touched...(of course they are ALL mine!)? Wow...so much to think about this week.

So friends...I still don't get what a brother has to do with rocks but I'm going to be a big sister and need all the support I can get. Time for me to go get some sleep because from the sound of things, that may be hard to get pretty soon.

No worries. I knew what you meant based on previous discussions and posts!

Sorry, I didn't mean to suggest that Hondo was a trained therapy dog. He was not, and I do not have any disability (except old age). He was, however, my personal untrained therapy dog, and he was very good for my psyche when I was ill. He knew what was going on, when either of us was not feeling well, and he knew what to do to make us feel better. That was get close together and cuddle until we have improved. He was fantastic!

No! I heard he was supposed to get into Newark airport at 7:25 tonight but now that's been delayed. Now he won't get into NJ until after 9 PM. I've learned a lot more about him but one of the coolest things is that it appears he is going to be one of those rare lavender doodles. My mom told me this morning I'd always be her most beautiful girl but I have a feeling he's going to become her most handsome boy...the nerve...Thanks for checking in Peri. I will definitely try and update once I help him settle in a little.

Whopper, at least you have some WARNING! When I was still just a baby myself, all of 7 months old. My mom and dad drove me an hour outside of town, made me wait in the car FOREVER... and WALA, there was this puny little black furball in her arms and mom was all smiles. She stuck me in the back of her car with him and kept sayin' "oh Rosey, here's your new little brother, be nice..he's just a baby" Then we had to stop at the pet store and buy him all kinds of stuff, itsy bitsy baby stuff. We finally go home and he went straight into my bed and was lovin' all my toys. But I learned to share.... I wasn't quite sure at the time but mom was right, he is a pretty cool dood. Just hold your ground, make sure he knows where your "spots" are for sleepin', eatin' and poopin'. You will eventually learn how to tease him and vice versa. My baby brother copies everything I do so that makes me feel like a queen!! Plus you can probably ALWAYS get him to play when your parents are busy doin' other stuff, and it is nice to have a cuddle buddy and wrestling partner too, here are some pics from our early days... feel free to look at our page for more inspiration:) Your pal, Rosey

Whopper,
Ned here. I am the puppiest at my house and I rule the roost. All toys are mine when I want them, but when I don't I share. That is my advice!
Ned the Noodle
Whopper,
Clancy here. I am the newest puppy at my house and I am ever-so-grateful to have a home and family that, even though I would rather be an only doodle, it is very cool to have a family to love me. Accept the little guy.

Hi Whopper! I don't have a sister or brother - it's just me, but I do have some advice! Potty outside must be priority #1. Also... I see on your profile pic (which is soooo cute) that you have snow on your face! I live in TX... and we don't get snow.... we just get HOT! So... you may need to teach Simba about all the fun that snow can bring. I did see some snow this last year, but it only stuck for an hour or so! It was so much fun! I can't wait to hear the tales of you and Simba. I am sure you will teach him all the important stuff!
