Well, today is the day. Samson went in at 8:30 am and I will be picking him up at 4:30 pm.

I forgot to tell a story about what he did the other day. After Samson was groomed, Janice (my groomer) gave him a Christmas present of a rope with a tennis ball attached to it. The rope went inside the tennis ball and the rope was like a circle shape, there was a plastic handle on the other end, so you could play tug with it. Very nice and Samson loved it. I decided to give it to him the next day to keep him busy when I went to work for a few hours. He has LOTS of stuff to do when I'm gone, lots of toys and such. When I got home, I found a piece of material left, about 2 inches in length on the floor and the tennis ball was no where to be found. The rope was bare! Uh, oh! I knew he had eaten it!! Ugh, I knew he would be sick that night. Of course, he was. He must have thrown up about 7 times before all the rubber pieces, which were hard like pebbles, were out of his stomach! Poor guy, I felt bad, but I had no idea he would EAT it!! Unbelievable!

He has otherwise been very good. We have such a routine now, that he knows exactly what to do and what not to do. I'm beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel with getting to know what he needs, and he seems to be knowing what our routine in the house is now. I hope this little episode in the vet doesn't screw all this up.

I have soooo much wrapping to do and not enough time to do it!!

Hope everyone is doing great and getting ready for these holidays. By the way, so far....and I hope I'm not speaking too soon, but we have had our tree (a real one) up for the past week and Samson has no interest in it whatsoever! I'm very surprised at this...and happy. Have a great day!!

I basically can't leave Peri alone with any toy or she will destroy it. At least it is her toys, but still!
Samson sounds like he has a funny personality. Good luck nursing him back to health! He will be just fine.

Oh, good luck to Samson. Poor baby. I totally get that he ate the tennis ball toy...."Guinness the destroyer" would have done the same thing. I hear you on the wrapping...I've got presents stashed everywhere, and none of them are wrapped yet. My first challenge is finding where I've hidden them all, and then on to the wrapping (which I totally hate). By Christmas Eve, I'll be stuffing them in those gift bags.
