[Anne & Mr. Haley]

I have been following with interest about taking your doodle to Lowe's/HomeDepot. Haley has mostly stayed at home when we are going to Lowe's because my DH didn't think he would be allowed inside the store. When he has gone I have to stay in the car with him. : ( A few weeks ago I was talking with a Lowe's employee and asked about dogs coming inside. She said people do it all the time (although, I have never seen a dog in the store when I have been there).
Yesterday there was a need for us to make a trip to town to go to Lowe's so we tested it out:

No, please don't get me any of this stuff!

Haley was beautifully behaved (I knew he would be). When people paid attention to him he did not jump on them but was all "wiggle butt" and "dancing feet". He got lots of complements and pets. It was a good trip and a new diversion for Haley. Now he won't have to stay at home when we go to Lowe's.

Mr. Haley, I'll bet you were the best-behaved dog who ever visited that store! For sure you are the handsomest!

What a fun shopping expedition.  Our Home Depot allows well-behaved dogs.   We also have a wonderful garden nursery that allows dogs and they have a resident dog there everyday - and it is a golden doodle!

You can just tell that Haley was the perfect gentleman.  He does need a tool belt though!  :-}

Mr Haley, You are a star! What a good ambassador you are for dogs visiting Lowe's. Glad you and your mom won't be relegated to the car anymore.

What a good boy!  Mr. Haley is doing his part to allow dogs to shop with us.  Quincy goes to PetSmart-but has the habit of "stealing" the small stuffed animals from the bins as we walk towards his day care!  Shoplifter!  We do practice our "drop" and "leave it" though and so alls well !

I turned to google to see what I could find out about our local Lowe's and their policies, but instead came across a very hateful article on a website called "doghatersunite.com" berating Lowe's for their dog-friendly practices. Actually feeling a little ill :(. I am so glad that you have a Lowe's nearby that is friendly and allowed Mr. Haley to have a nice day out!

We take Gracie Doodle to Home Depot all the time.  It sort of all depends...one bad dog that bites or barks and growls and one person to complain then they say no to dogs.  It is so sad that stupid people have to ruin it for the nice ones with good dogs.  The outing is always fun for all of us.  When there is a complaint, after a while they sort of loosen up again and let the dogs come in.  It also sort of depends on who is working on any given day.  There is always a dog hater in the crowd!!!  I wish we could have people banned on their behavior!!  Wouldn't that be cool????

That is great news! No Lowes allowed for us, but Ragley is a welcome guest at our Home Depot. I love taking her there! Looks like Haley had a great time! What a sweet boy he seems to be
