Yeah. After all the training, worrying, and early mornings, late nights. After all the no's , good girls, walk nicely, pennies in a mini diet pepsi can to stave off barking, barking, barking . . . Sheila finally "gets it" and has turned into the cute, wonderful dog I was always reading about on YOUR blogs. Not that we didn't always love her, we did, to pieces, but life is just so much nicer now that Sheila knows the rules (mostly) and we have our routines down pat. Man, for awhile there I really wondered if I had it in me to raise another puppy. But she really turned a corner at about 8 mos. She is still a cute puppy, darling if you ask me, but now her antics are so funny and her doodleness has kicked in. She is still very small, only 9 lbs. and looks oodlish with long legs. She has been a very good sport with the move, contractors all over the place for months, my deaf daughter (who loves her) moving home and being expected to train and be a good puppy. Wow, all your advice to not give up on the training works. Yeah!! Not that we are done, but its like we talk to each other now and we know what to expect of each other. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiice. It's nice to be able to post and not worry about where she is and what she is doing. She actually even NAPS now.
