Ollie has come a long way from his biting and growling. He is now 14 weeks old. He almost never growls or bites anymore. He listens to instructions well and is doing really well with training.(though I know there are likely to be rebellious periods during his teen years.) He is also potty trained now and has had no accidents in the last 2/3 weeks. He tells us he needs to go by scratching at the door and a soft woof. All in all a real joy to have around and a happy and secure little guy.
The one ongoing challenge has been that he still hates car rides. I take him on short rides and don't fuss over him when he whines. I take treats with me but he gets so whiny that there is no quiet period that I can reward with a treat. He also chews on the seat belts to ease his anxiety. He loves the destinations we go to because he loves meeting people, but that doesn't seem to help with his car anxiety. He has had hour long rides several times and never gotten sick so I don't think it is travel sickness. I really hope he starts liking the car since we love family road trips. Any suggestions are welcome and would be much appreciated.
Here are some of his recent pictures :-)

All dry and fluffy after a bath...(bath=another one of his pet peeves...:-))

I would try a car seat too for Ollie. Bandit has one and it helps him see out and "know" where he is supposed to be while in the car. Plus if he is not in it he is constantly trying to crawl in my lap... not safe now that he is a chunky 30 lbs!! When Rosey was little I used a dog bed in the car for her which again helped because she knew where she was supposed to be. We did a 14 hour road trip last Christmas and she was great. You might want to check out TJ Maxx for the car seat, that is where I got Bandit's, it is a Kurgo and holds dogs up to 30 lbs. I just saw some in there the other day... Good luck!! Ollie is adorable!

My friend was having this issue with her Bichon/Schnauzer mix. What we did is she would take Rudy for a ride in the car and would "meet" me in different parking lots and there would be a treat for Rudy there. I would put one say in the car wash bay or the bank driveway - he would get out get of the car get the treat and go back in the car to the next place. I would get out of my car, place the treat, and get back in and they would pull up behind us. We just didn't want him to see the treats were coming from me personally just that riding in the car was fun. We did it 4 nights over a week and now he LOVES the car. We live in a small town so it was easy for use to drive around and do it. Good Luck!!!!

Don't have any suggestions as I didn't have this issue, but I just wanted to say he is adorable!

He is absolutely adorable! I think his stress in the car is something that will improve with time. I think you're doing the right thing keeping your reaction very "low key". I also think giving him a treat when he stops his whining is a great idea. It took Guinness quite a while to learn to love the car too (but he did get carsick). I'm so happy to hear that Ollie is doing so well and is such a good boy!

What a cutie pie! Love those eyes. He and Rooney have to have been born right around the same time. Rooney was Aug. 17. It is funny because Rooney also doesn't like to get wet. As far as the car riding, have you tried a car seat? Rooney rides in one and it elevates him so that he can see out the window. It seat belts in so that it is secure incase of an accident and then there is a clasp in the car seat that attached to Rooney's harness. It is large enough that he can lay down in it and to have a toy or two to chew on. If Ollie is in a car seat it might be something to try. Good luck.
