OMG a bear!

Friday night approx 12:30 am, DH wakes me saying there is a bear on the deck!  i was thinking sure there is, but no, he was hurrying down the stairs.  I started yelling for him to wait for me to get the camera.  Monty and I arrived downstairs to the back door where DH was yelling at the bear..  Holy s***., it really was a bear, a very big bear, maybe 400-500 pounds!!!  He was trashing our bird feeders, yelling at him did nothing.  I was furiously working my camera, the damn thing would not take a photo!  I could not believe my luck, why now would my camera fail me!!!  I pointed and clicked and clicked and clicked, NOTHING!  Finally the bear moved, and left the deck and sauntered very causally down the stairs into the back yard.  Now I went unto the deck trying furiously to get his picture.  Monty was going wild by this time (safely inside the door)  Again I clicked and clicked the camera...........NOTHING!  He took his good ole time leaving the yard.  When the bear was gone into the woods, I looked at DH and fell into hysterics.  My beloved was standing there completely in the buff! He had no idea that he had been chasing a bear while completely naked!! It was a very fun night.  LMAO  I've enclosed a picture of the bear!! ha ha.  btw, the next day I tried my camera, and I discovered that you have press the button and WAIT FOR THE PHOTO.  *I've had this camera for three years!  lol

This reminds me of the scenes in the Soprano's where there is a Bear visiting Tony's house on a regular basis. (how sad am I that I remember all that)  That must have been some vision, even though you don't have any images you have painted a great  virtual  mini video of the whole event.  He might come back.....?

This is a little scary, but so funny at the same time.  I can just picture your "butt naked" DH trying to scare the bear away while you're trying to capture a "Kodak moment".

Sharon, perhaps you could post this in the Photography group under the discussion http://www.doodlekisses.com/group/Photographygroup/forum/topics/pix... and ask if someone can enhance the bear and the bare ... that is somewhere in this picture!  LOL

Dear lord we gone to wild side of things here on DK!  I'm glad this turned out o.k. for you all but I know just how you feel - it is just scary!  I'll trade you your bear for my alligator - lol!

Sharon, That bear is so black I can't even see him :) Your DH proved to be a bare necessity to fight off the real bear!! Glad he turned and went the other way!

Since it all ended well, it is too funny about your DH.  How scary though to have a bear on your deck.  They can break into your house can't they???  City girl that I am, I think I would just have a breakdown!
