Packing - Doodle Style

Business travel is never fun and is almost always a hassle especially when I am leaving 2 doodles at home with DH.  There are certain things that I always take care of and tend to do on a regular schedule and when that schedule gets altered due to business travel it is a little bit frustrating.  Before I can think about leaving I have to make sure that both doodles are thoroughly brushed and 100% dematted.  Ears must be cleaned, nails have to be trimmed, and teeth have to be brushed.  I presented DH with his “honey do list” doodle style.  I pointed out the areas on Ollie that had to brushed at least once while I was gone for the week.  After spending an hour combing out Ollie’s knotty tail and behind the ear matts after my last business trip, I decided that it was necessary to beg DH to do a little coat maintenance while I’m gone.  I was sure to leave out the brushes and grooming spray that he would need.  He didn’t seem too thrilled, but I’m sure he’ll do fine.  I explained which doodle gets which pills after which meal and was FINALLY ready to start packing for my trip.  Cubbie had other ideas…….

 

 

It is very hard to pack a suitcase when it is being occupied by a doodle and his toys.

As hard as it is to pack a suitcase with a doodle in it, it is even harder to walk in the house holding a suitcase after a trip.  I learned that it is easier to walk in, get greeted by 2 crazy doodles, and THEN go back out for the luggage!

Oh Cubbie! You are definitely wanting to go with your MOM! Amy, I feel your pain. My DH is wonderful with the dogs, he runs them, feeds them and cuddles with them, but brushing? not so much.
