I decided to do a really quick blog to let my friends know about what has been going on since my very sad blog last week.
Peri's cold is getting much better. Her infection is gone, but she still sneezes some and the vet says the leaves falling are making many dogs have this symptom. She is on some good antihistamines and we are weaning her off of them now. She actually went to daycare today and is back to her usual self.
On another happy note, she graduated from her 2nd obedience class on Monday: Basic Family Manners. I have never been so proud. She really was on her A-Game! She came to me imediately, despite other dogs being called across the room at the same time, sat for 15 seconds, lied down for 20, stayed for quite a while (in front of the whole class). Also, at the end, our trainer taught everyone shake. Peri knew shake already, so she helped me with High-5. Of course Peri was the only one that could do anything like that at the end of class. I was a proud mama, to say the least. Here is a HILARIOUS photo of me and my husband - please don't judge (lol) and keep in mind this is after a looong Monday at work, then graduation! Also keep in mind Peri is not that huge. I am only 5 feet tall!
And lastly, Taquito is doing well. After some trial and error and MUCH research and help from Karen with the Food Group, I decided on Solid Gold Holistique for his food. I received detailed nutritional analysis from the corporate office and it is very much in line with the Hills brand for kidney diets (as far as sodium, phosphorous, etc...). Taquito loves it. The challenge is keeping piggy Peri away! Feeding separately is just hard because Taquito grazes instead of scarfing down like Peri does.
Happy, happy Friday. Thanks to everyone for their support lately as my puppies have been sick.
