Peri's Christmas Adventure

First off: THANK YOU for all of the Christmas & New Year wishes!  I have been MIA - enjoyed almost 2 weeks off and really tried to stay off the computer and away from technology (except for my e-reader) during that time.  i think I was sucessful in that endeavor. My fingers are quite flustered by the computer keypad today due to lack of use :)

 

The day after xmas, we packed up the dogs and drove 9 hours to Amelia Island, FL, where DH's parent's live.  They live one row back from the beach. It's awesome because they have a yard with grass, but then we go across the street and WHAM there's the ocean!  Peri and Tacky LOVE the beach.  We stayed through Saturday.

 

This year, DH and inlaws had to work most mornings. So it was time for me and the dogs to enjoy the beach.  We literally walked for hours alone in the morning.  Vacant beaches, high-50s to low-60s and sunny. Beautiful is an understatement.  Peri enjoyed gnawing on crab legs (ewwww!), sniffing out shells with her mama, and walking with daddy in the afternoon.

As you can see, she had a good time (I couldn't get her to look at the camera for the life of me - she was too busy looking at life!)....

I feel rested and ready for 2012 and hope all of you have a happy, propserous New Year!
