Hi there Doodlers! > We have just figured out that Neely has become a picky pee'er!

I had a  suspicion last week when I took him to the dentist, mine. He waited in  the car. Then we went to my mom's apartment for the lunch hour. Then out  to my Grandma's nursing home where we do alot of visiting with all the  residents there as well as gramma. We had to wait awhile for her until  she finished her dinner. > He was out at intervals through out the day. I asked him to go pee on  several occasions. He just continued to follow his nose in  investigation as usual. Speaking of noses. My mom had to put her dog  down before Christmas and Neely went into her apartment looking all  through it for her dog. I said all gone but he continued to  sniff diligently. He focused at last on one spot on the rug. The spot  that her dog would lay and do his chewing on his favorite snacks. My mom  was alittle upset that in all her cleaning since the dog was gone ( a  non shedding dog as well) that Neely 'FOUND' her.>

 > Anyway back to the peeing. We went back to the  car after visiting  Gramma and I took Neely into the area he would normally go and all he  did was sniff and follow the smells of the neighbours dog tracks left  there previously. We came home and first thing he did was go to his pee  spot and drain the tank. It is huge by the way.> Then last night my son was over and he said he had to come back here  today anyway to finish his truck work so could he take Neely home. I  said yes and that was about 8pm. He took him out for a walk before bed  and he never went. He took him out this morning for a walk and he never  went. He had food and water at my sons house too. He came home and said  hi to me sniffed around the house to see if the puppy he played with  last night was still here. I know because he followed his nose  downstairs where I took them last night to let out in the back yard. I  don't usually go down there unless the kids are home and if we have a  puppy with out a shock collar that needs the fenced part of the yard.  Then he asked to go out to relieve himself. That was 11am!>

 > Apparently he has decided he will only go at home! He has been a  travelling dood for all his life, I really hope he won't explode on me  one day!>

Ya I remember the puppy days when in the middle of the winter night a smell would interrupt the pee session! That's the crazy housecoat lady yelling in the neighbourhood in the middle of the night. Soon the police start driving by real slow!!!!

My guys will pee pretty much anywhere, but they take their time to find the absolutely "perfect" spot.  Not good when the temperature is below 0.

Ned does not like to go pee on leash.  He really prefers privacy, his own yard or at least a fence. It is a real pain because we take him places.  Since Clancy lifts his leg and marks, we can get him to go pretty easily.

I have a boy here that likes the home field advantage too.  He's held his poo for 36 hours on more than one occasion when he was away from home.  Strange creatures they are!
