A New Doodle!

I just thought that I would share that a good friend of mine and his wife went out and got a little puppy golden doodle from Burkehardt Kennels here in Canada, and where we got Neely from! He is adorable and very smart. His name is Harley, daddy is a bike guy! He was born the first week of November and he comes really well, sits and lays down already. Potty training is going well with the use of the crate. They also have two other old spaniels. He is fatter than Neely with redder ears and under coat. He seems very cuddly which I wish Neely was more like. I get to be his foster mom in April when they go to Florida. I don't think they will join doodlekisses but I gave them the link for all the information that is supplied here.

Makes me want one. But Neely did not want anything to do with him at all. It was strange as Neely plays really well with little dogs and puppies. He had been playing with two little retreiver puppies just the day before meeting harley but when Harley came in it was a whole different thing. He would sniff me even after Harley was gone and just sit there and look away like he was shunning me? All we could think of was that the puppy had just come from the kennel and still smelled like it, and with Neely being from there maybe he didn't like the smell? We went and saw the puppy again a week later and when we came home he smelled us but didn't have the same reaction as the first time. I am hoping to get some time in with Harley before he has to stay for a week or two so that Neely gets the idea he is a friend.

So for all those people with Burkehardt puppies I know where your cousin is!
