There are many times during my life when I say to myself, 'darn, I should have brought the camera' or video with me.  Those incidents which stand out as ones I would like to share but which I have to store in my memory.  Sometimes when one of these moments occurs I make a mental note to concentrate and make sure I keep it stored on the front of my memory shelf.

This is the only place that I could possible share yesterdays memory moment.  If you have any that you think of do share it here.

Yesterday Riley and I were out for one of our daily walks.  A long tree lined avenue which leads to an 18th century grand house and is two miles long is one of our 'go to' places.  We are guaranteed a quiet walk at around 2 pm.  Yesterday as we were coming back down the avenue we were met by a schoolteacher and an estimated 50 teenage school girls. They were all dressed in their navy school uniforms, a navy skirt and v-necked jumper with a white shirt.  We were walking right towards them and just before I tried to walk around them they spotted Riley and the sound of raised voices got louder and louder.  A minute later Riley was bang in the middle of them while they all gathered around him and petted him.  All that could be heard was the high pitched screaming of a gaggle of girls while they ooood and aaah'd.    He was totally cool with the whole thing, his tail was wagging non stop.  He didn't try to jump but absolutely loved what from my point of view looked like quite a scary encounter.  The teacher had a hard time getting the girls to line up and meantime I thought 'what a proud doodle mum I am'.

Who could resist your charms Riley?  I can imagine the whole thing.  Nicky you painted a beautiful picture in my mind.

That would have been a great picture!

Two weeks ago Bridget & I started a reading program at my kids' school.  We went to each of the 5 first grade classrooms to let the kids meet Bridget.  Each class was seated in a circle and Bridget walked inside each circle giving kisses and enjoying all of the petting and attention from the kids.  As I was answering a few questions from the students, Bridget would roll over for a 10 handed belly rub!

I really do wish you'd had a camera, I would have loved to have seen that scene!

Riley is such a good doodle ambassador!

Riley, you were the delight of the day for those school girls. What a good doodle you are to keep yourself from jumping in all of that excitement. I don't bother wishing I had a camera because even when I do I am not talented enough to get a worthwhile photo anyway! I was so tickled this week when I "caught" Owen obsessed with a squirrel in our yard and I had my phone out. None of the pictures is particularly clear and the ones where I caught him jumping were mostly with parts of his body out of the shot. sigh.

A Hallmark moment to be sure Nicky!    We had  a similar encounter last summer with a dozen of so girls....Banjo was in heaven.....I think we could have walked off and left him and he wouldn't have even noticed!    Your walk sound delightful!

What could be better than a bunch of new friends petting you! Good for Riley. Does your phone have a camera? Somethings are just meant to be sweet memories!

awww a camera would have been good indeed. I often think that, but carrying a camera around all the time is a hassle and DH says I take too many pictures of Cooper and the cats already!
