Yesterday, Phoebe had no accidents inside and I was so thrilled thinking that we had turned a corner BUT...I suppose not. So far today, she has had three accidents including peeing down my a/c register in the floor by the front door. I suppose I should be happy that she went to the front door but I am still grappling with the sight of her and my inability to catch her fast enough. That is the other frustration. We watch her like a hawk but she gives us no warning--no sniffing or wandering or whining. One minute she is up and fine and the next she is squatting and going. My children have such anxiety about watching her with me all the time. I hope that we can close the housebreaking chapter soon.

Charlie is 3 months old now, and we still have accidents, too. She could just went outside to pee, and still have accidents... :(
But, I agree with Chris - Fozzy's mom -, and we keep Charlie on a little 6ft house leash, too. So, she is always near someone, within someone's sight. This helps.

Hang on and be strong, Phoebe WILL learn it. Benny also didn't give any signs that he needed to go out and it worked for a few weeks really good and then he had an accident again every now and then. But he has learned it and Phoebe will too. It's hard to go through that time and I was really stressed watching Benny all the time and at nights listening to every little noise in case he needed to go but this time will pass. Now I even need to wake up Benny in the mornings no matter of weekend or not. He just sleeps until someone wakes him up to walk him. Good luck!

Hey Kiddo, been there. What I started doing was keeping a 6 foot leash on Fozzy, so he couldn't be out of my sight. Then, if he needed to go out, I knew it. It made a HUGE difference. Remember, Phoebe is just a baby, she will not be perfectly house trained within three weeks. But remember, they will get through it a lot faster than our kids made it through diapers.
