Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
The more fun rides we take in the car to daycare, the creek, dog park, etc. the more the Milt wants to hop right in! Lately, he likes to try and ride shotgun. Momma doesn't allow it, but I think Daddy does due to certain habits I have noticed emerge. I am actually happy that our goldendoodle has a desire to stare out the window and notice the world flying by.
Truth be told, the Milt and I are quite the team. When I bake, Milton sits on the floor, watching my every move - my sous chef in waiting. While walking, he's my wingman ready to take on (or introduce himself to!) any threatening creatures, dog or human, that could hurt his Momma. Swimming laps in the pool, he's my lifeguard running up and down the length, checking on me. So, you see, it makes perfect sense that he wants to be my co-pilot in the car too!

The Milt is getting more and more doodlier. Very handsome :)
Oh my goodness! Bronte is so handsome!
We used a seat belt on our major drive to New York, and then we scaled off on our little jaunts around town. Milton always used to lie on the passenger side, feet area which seemed relatively safe to me. Now that he is trying to move onto the seat, I think a seat belt is a good idea. I don't like him in the back because I am distracted and always turning my head. Thanks for the friendly reminder, Lucy and Sophie's mom!
He needs a Captain's hat!
♥ Queen Goob.....
Milton, You are just too cute for words. Thanks for taking such good care of your DM.
He looks adorable sitting there. I would like to encourage you though to get him a seat belt harness because they way he is sitting there if you had to hit your brakes really quick and hard he could go right through the window or at least hit the dash hard enough to hurt him. Even if he is riding in the back seat he can be hurt if he isn't buckled in. We had one on here that got a broken leg because his Daddy I believe it was hit the breaks and he fell to the floor really hard. It can happen in an instant. Good idea for his protection and yours. I wouldn't want to see this adorable little guy hurt.
He does look like he takes his job very seriously!
Awwww Milt you are a very handsom co-pilot :)
