Hello, my name is Amy and I currently live with my fiancé Colin and our 10 month old furbaby Brontë Doodle, (oh and our Yamato Shrimp) :)
We live In Northern Ireland, on a lovely big farm, with loads of open fields and a river, which Brontë absolutely loves!
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
Our Doodle is Brontë, she's a 10 month old F1b Labradoodle, her mum was a beautiful Cream Labradoodle, and her dad a Black Standard Poodle, and she's Black but seems to have some Silver in her, she's now covered in bright Silver hairs! She was born on the 14th of March 2012, and we got her when she was 12 weeks old, when she weighed just 5kgs, she's now 10 months and weighs around 23kgs.
We picked her name, with the help of my Mum, as I am a big English buff (I'm currently studying Language and Linguistics at the University of Ulster) although she does have quite a few nicknames Bront, Brontësaurus, Pudding etc
She's such a character and her Mummy and Daddy's wee Princess.
She's hoping to be a Pets As Therapy dog when she's older, and she's in the middle of her Good Citizenship Scheme.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
Colin and I went through every single dog breed on Wikipedia, and read their description, looked for a breed that would suit our lifestyle/budget/etc...whittled it down to several breeds and eventually down to two a Bearded Collie and a Labradoodle/Goldendoodle. We were so close to getting a Bearded Collie, but it fell through at the very last minute...we then met a couple of LDs and knew we had to have one! Looked for a few months for the prefect dood and we found her! Brontë Doodle (the black 12 week old F1b Labradoodle girl) And we haven't looked back since :D
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Playing on the Farm, Swimming in the family's River, Walk to the Beach, Training, Playing in the Garden, Longs walks through the northern Irish forest parks etc
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Nope!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
Myself, although occasionally would go in for a pampering groom
Favorite Doodle Products?
Kong, A super absorbent towel and A good quality brush

Delay? Because it's not like we don't have families that can't do anything for themselves, right?
My kids (both in college) were home with Stanlee this weekend as my husband and I went to central Florida to visit my sister for a fun "girl's weekend" (me, not my husband.) Stan had a play date and sleep-over with a very pretty female; I was not told about this until I came home Sunday...better than a beerfest, I guess. LOL
I've been trying so desperately to get some good photos of Stanlee but he always looks disgusted with me. But then again he probably is because each session I usually take 30 or more pictures to get one that is halfway decent. Do you have this issue with Brontë or does she naturally look pretty in pictures?
Hi Amy, sorry for the delay in commenting back, I don't come on here as often as I used to BUT I still check back from time to time.
Of COURSE I remember Brontë, how could I ever forget her! Stanlee is ten months and seven days today. Last I measured (over a month ago) he was 27" at the withers and 65 (+/-) pounds (just under 30kgs) He very long legged and lanky but funny....he and Brontë have the same long bangs and whiskers. My family keeps threatening to cut the hair around his face but they haven't under threat of their own haircuts! Go check out the newest picture of Stan, you will laugh at the long bangs just like your girl has!
Just checking in to see how you guys are doing. Stanlee turned 7 months last week and graduated his puppy obedience class. Now, does this mean he's perfectly mannered? Not...even...close!

Thank you for your friendship & the gift Amy! Brontë is so darling!!! Lots of love!
I'm a comic book fan as well and that is exactly where Stanlee got his name. Was freaking out a bit last night worrying over the hairloss he is showing but it seems this is what I thought and he is just losing his puppy coat. I have never had a dog that went through this so it threw me for a loop as I didn't want him to lose all that wirey haired cuteness. Let me know if Brontë experiences the same thing (they say it usually happens around 8 months, I guess I have a "special" dog.)
Hi Amy! Brontë and Stanlee DO resemble each other AND...they are only five days apart in age. How awesome is that? We'll have to continually update each other on their size, manners (ours aren't that great yet) and coat style. I think Stan is blowing his puppy coat right now. If not, all of the hair on the floor is not a good indication of things to come. Stanlee is currently six months (as of yesterday) and about 54 pounds now. I don't have his height yet but will post that soon. (He IS taller than our 100lb St. Bernard/bulldog mix)
Thanks for the friendship and I enjoyed your photos!
p.s. don’t laugh, but I too am a literature lover, my last vehicle was named Brontë…..no truly, it was
