Rafi (a.k.a. Porkchop) comes back--for a visit!

Rafi is one of Lyric's puppies and I know he had a lot of fans out there in DK land.  His new mom had to go away suddenly and asked if he could come for a visit while she travelled. He has been here a week--he is so sweet and well-behaved and is learning a lot from his brother Rio (who we are keeping) and his mom. He loves to play with Lyric and they get along so well.He is quite a jumper and we are working on his tendency to leap and jump all the time.  I am attaching some photos so you can all see just how adorable he is at 12 weeks. By the way, he is still a food-hound--with a voracious apetite! He weighs about 15 pounds now as does Rio, but Rio is a bit taller. They are such a pair!

To answer Nancie's question--yes! It took them about 2 seconds to know each other (sniffing of course) and they were all greeting and playing right away. It has been really fun to have him back, but two puppies is a lot harder than one! I guess the biggest challenge is walking them--each has to go potty right after their meal, but if I walk them together, there is a lot of wrestling and playing and their leashes get all tangled up and no one goes to the bathroom! So, I usually have to take each one alone and hope the other can hold it for a few minutes. It has been so cold here--like January weather! So, I wish I could make the walks shorter. Other than that, it has been wonderful to have them both at home. Rafi's mom should be coming back this week--we shall see. They are sooo adorable --even my hubby notices how cute they are. They fell asleep against the counter tonight (their favorite spot to sleep) in a position that seemed a bit unpleasant for Rafi--but he seemed happy! Check out the picture. That is true brotherly love!

I bet it is fun having him home for a visit.  Did Lyric and Rio recognize him instantly and take right away to each other?  I think it is so cute to see all the love they have when they are sleeping.  Enjoy the visit!
