Reassurance, Please?

We just came home from Pre- Spaying exam at our vet's office. ( Charlie's appointment date is Thursday, May 28th, she will be 5 1/2 months old)
We have been going to Dr. Sweeny for a about 14 years now with my older dog, and I do trust him.
And this is why I chose to have this done by him rather than at the local low cost spay clinic.

But I am just so anxious and fearful of what could go wrong!!
So, please... big girls' moms out there, would you please tell me about your positive spaying experiences?...... :(

There was no problem with the procedure. Yankee went thru with flying colors even though he needed a second incision which we knew in advance. The only thing I want to mention is that he had a nasty blowout that evening and I have heard the exact same thing from others. It was foul.

Other than that, you should have no worries. Each dog is different wearing the cone. Some don't even use it.
