Well, its been an exciting week.( And did I mention expensive? ) You may recall I adopted a dachsund recently from the pound with a partially amputated foot. Well, he decided to chew on one of his remaining toes and cause some more vascular damage to the tune of $550. (Someone once told me no good deed goes unpunished. See what I get for trying to save the poor creature?) I had another surgery done, mostly to try to save the leg. Now he hobbles around on a cast up to his armpit. My poor little Cajun. He is soooo sweet but please, all, say a prayer that this works because the next option is amputation and I would really like to save his leg if at all possible.
Riley and the babies are all continuing to thrive. The pups are getting some pudge to them and the "pupperazzi" are calling to come out and visit them. The blue merles from this litter all have the most beautiful markings.
Enjoy the photo of mama and babies.
