Don't know if all you remember me, my mom got me from a rescue 9 weeks ago.  I just have to say "I'M TIRED OF MY MOM COMPLAINING ALL THE TIME!"  Don't take this wrong. I love my new house and family and my new brother Gus is GREAT.  Here is the problem;

When my mom gets up in the morning she gets a cup of coffee then gives Gus and I breakfast, mom sits at this machine and Gus and I play.  Well I'm tired of her saying "Rory what's in you mouth?...drop it...Rory DROP IT NOW,,,,,,,!  I do, then she puts the "drop" (wood, rocks,paper, etc.) in the trash and mumbles "I was just going to respond on DK."  Well I won't let her I have her up and down, up and down "Rory What's in your mouth?..."

The brushing, yuk I hate it!  Gus begs to be brushed but he doesn't mat. Every night mom and I get into the x-pen and she brushes me complaining all the time because I mat big time.  I don't know why she bothers because when I wake up in the morning the mats are back.  Why does she do this to me?

Biggest complaint;  Fri. night mom got home late from work and complained that she missed Yappy Hour again.  She was so tired she fell asleep on the couch.  What are 2 doods supposed to do?  I took control! I found my DS black flat size 9 shoe. It was so pretty, small gold studs on it.  Now I have to say I chew and spit out. I'm new here so I didn't know that my brother just swallows.  We had so much fun I'd chew and spit and Gus would swallow such a fun game.  Mom woke up and said nite, nite time so we ran to our crates and we settled in for a good night sleep.  I don't think mom enjoyed her cup of coffee the next morning she saw some small black pieces on the floor and realized it was remnants of a shoe.  She looked around and found one black flat but couldn't find the other until Gus went burp and out of him came some of my find, then a little later more of my find came out of him then the next morning more.  I have to say I was cheated, Gus got rice and hamburger for dinner and breakfast all weekend and mom kept giving him belly rubs.  Still can't figure out why mom would run out in the backyard with gloves on and play with his poo, at night she took a flashlight.  Is this normal?  On Mon. I heard mom talking to the Vet. she smiled.

My mom does call me a "good boy" all the time that makes me feel good.  I know how to sit stay and not move until I hear release for dinner, I come when called and mom can walk both Gus and I together she told my DS that she's walking 170 lbs of dog.  My brother Gus heals really good I'm just learning.

I'm going to continue to try my hardest to keep my mom off this machine..........opps I hear her coming........Later Rory

Rory dood, the brushings not so bad, my mom can't figure out how I know I am going to get brushed when I go get on the table before she says anything, she thinks I am reading her mind. I am, I know I am going to get cheese it's my favorite. I really don`t  like getting brushed but I really, really love cheese. I am a cheesedoodle and there are lots of us. About the shoe thing, they can make you sick so you had better be careful. Gotta go mom says it's her turn.  YDP... Quincy. (your doodle pal) Say hello to Gus and maybe we`ll hear from him soon.

Rory thanks for the great post.  I am glad Gus is fine and I am sorry mom didn't give you any rice & hamburger.

Dear Rory,

It sounds like you have a typical doodle obsessed mom.  Sorry, but once they discover doodlekisses, it is all over!  The brush/mat thing - good luck.  Our mom has our dad hold us so we can't get away and she even COMBS us.  We were thinking of running away but we kind of like it here.

Thanks for the update Rory!  Glad you are doing well.  Don't worry about the nagging, it just comes with the territory.  Soon you will be grown up and make lots of good decisions and you will hear "good dog" all of the time.  Please tell Gus NOT to swallow stuff!

Your pal Gavin

Hi Rory!  It's Bailee I completely understand what you mean about the whole brushing thing to my sister Molly has a little straighter hair than me and loves to be brushed and bathed, can you believe when mom says it's time for a bath my dumb sister just automatically goes down the hall into the bathroon, jumps in the tub and sits there waithing for her bath WTD.. My hair looks just like yours and I don't like getting brushed out very much either.  I think when the wind even blows my hair gets matted (and we live in Ks so if you can imagine that) also I am not volunteering to jump into the bathtub either when mom says it's bath time we have to play a little game I like to call catch the doodle first.  Gotta go it's time to go outside and play hope you have a nice relaxing doodle day.  Tell Gus I said hi!!

Oh, Rory. I know that life is hard. So much to learn and it can be so confusing. If the humans in our home didn't want you to chew those things, they shouldn't be left out. My Mom says something like 'possession is 9/10s of the law' - so why doesn't that work for us doodles??

Humans - they are so confusing!!

Hang in there, Rory - you will someday understand!

Your doodle friends across the country,

Samantha and Charli
