HI all!  Rua here.  Thought I would update you on what has been going on lately.  My Momma already told you about my traveling adventures recently - California to Florida - in less than 2 weeks.  I had a blast!  Everybody was so suprised that I was on the plane, and everyone kept telling my momma how cute I was.  Like she didn't know!

 

My momma has been sick 4 times since Christmas and I am having a hard time getting all of the attention I deserve from her...she has taken some naps and that takes away from being able to love on me.  Oh well, I want her to get better.  First she a bad cold after Christmas, then got another bad cold later in January, following by Bronchitis and an ear infection near mid February.  Well, if you read my boyfriend Rooney's mom's discussion about something his papa brought back to his momma from Shanghi, then you know my momma hasn't been well.  I have been trying to help her when she keeps running to the bathroom by trying to hold onto the toilet paper for her.  But, she won't let me help.

It all starting this past Monday morning.  Momma figured she picked up a bug (it was in the papers on Sunday about lots of kids seeing the dr. and we were at Petco on Saturday and lots of kids wanted to pet me).  Momma stayed home for a few days since it was really bad, and went back to work.  Come yesterday morning, though, it is STILL going on.  So, my daddy suggests Momma might have picked up a parasite from ME and got Giardia.  I WOULD NEVER do that to my Momma.   Well Momma had to go into work for a while yesterday and stopped at the Urgent Care place on her way home.  She told the Dr. she had Giardia and just wanted a pill or two to make it go away.  Well, the Dr. looked at her chart to see she had been there 2/11 and was given an antibiotic.  One of the side effects is ...here goes...diarrhea and stomach pain.  So, she says Momma has to bring home a “kit” and take a sample to send to the hospital lab and she’d send Momma home with some pills to help make her feel better while we wait to lab results.  Well, then she examined Momma and said…"Hmm…I think you should go to the ER based on what I felt and the pain there"  Momma didn't like that and just told her she didn’t think the pain was MUCH and most of the pain was when the DR. pushed in one spot!  She thinks Momma's bowel might be twisted a bit.  Well, Momma didn't want to go to the ER, so she came home instead and start doing internet research…don’t you love it.  Anyway, she thinks it is more likely the antibiotic side effect.  I am not sick, and if Momma's bowel was twisted, I read that she would have constipation INSTEAD of diarrhea.   So, Momma is in the wait-and-see mode. 

 

Well, enough about Momma...on to me!  Here is what I have been up to the past month:

 

I am in Rock Solid Recall training.  Monday will be my 4th and last time.  I have conned Momma out of close to 500 treats just by going up to her to get them.  HOW EASY IS THAT, HUH?  Wednesday I start AKC S.T.A.R Puppy training for 6 weeks.  Momma and I will go together and it will help us prepare for CGC classes.  I want to make my Momma proud.

 

Gracie Doodle's mom, Nancie, mentioned Gracie had a bathrobe to my Momma a couple of Fridays ago on Yappy Hour.  Well, the next thing you know, a package arrived in the mail for me on Thursday!  Ta Da!  My pretty new pink robe from Harry Barker.

My Momma and Papa have been letting me sleep with them on the big bed since Friday, 2/25!  I always start out there, but a few times in the middle of the night, they put my in my crate because they were having sleeping issues.  Papa said I kept shoving him and Momma didn't like the fact that I was between her and the edge of the bed...something about restless legs and needing to whip all of the covers off due to what Papa calls "Personal Summers"!  I am a really good girl, though.  I most lay still, I don't move around and I don't get off the bed!

 

This morning, I really suprised my Momma.  She had gotten up at 5:45 to...(well you know what...see above) and then took me outside and went back to bed.  Well she was still in bed at 7:15 and I wanted to see her.  Papa was up, drinking coffee and reading the paper, so I snuck back into the bedroom...and...JUMPED up on the bed right next to Momma.  Boy was she surprised!  She got so excited and got up and told Papa that I had just jumped up onto to bed, that is 3' off the floor.

My Momma said I should thank everybody for their nice comments about my robe.  Momma sent my picture to Harry Barker...this is what the Operations Manager said "might be the best looking robe model I have ever seen wearing a Harry Barker bathrobe. It looks great on her".

Rua you are just the cutest thing ever in your bathrobe and Harry Barker would be lucky to have you on the website. I am sorry your mom has not been feeling well and tell her to feel better soon. About those ' personal summers' tell your mom that we are powerful women and they are not personal summers they are ' power surges'. Tell mom I know all about those restless legs and not wanting to be pinned down, only I get pinned by a 65lb furball.

Rua, Harlow here.  You look so pretty in your pink robe; my mom needs to get one for me.  Your momma definitely needs to send your picture to Harry Barker.  My mom also has "personal summers", but she calls them her "personal tropical moments" and starts singing some song called Heat Wave.

Rua - just remember that you were Rooney's little rock star first!  And those pinup pics of you in your robe - bow wooooow!!!!  Remember the little people when you are famous o.k.?  Rua - Rooney's momma here - take good care of your mom while she is sick - Rooney is giving me lots of DK to help me get better and here is the funny thing - our bed is super tall - and last week for the first (and so far only time) Rooney also made the jump up.  I was shocked!  Good Doodle Girl!!!!!!  Rooney says xoxoxo.
