Sam and his wounded paw
Sam managed to cut his right back paw pad on a piece of siding in the construction zone of the house. He is now on restricted activity and has to walk on a leash untill this heals. The vet put him on Amoxicillin and said to leave the bandage off as much as possible. It is still oozing, but looks clean. Poor boy he doesn't understand why he cannot play in the woods.

Cathy; No they did not stitch it, no limping. The vet said that even if they did, it is hard to keep the dogs from licking the stitches loose. There is evidence he has been licking it this morning. I caught him once and made him quit. Fortunately it is back far enough on the back pad that he is not stepping on all the time. He's been pretty good about the whole incident. Good thing it is not warm enough to swim in the lake. That would be worse than not running in the woods.Thanks for all your support everyone.
