How many of you have an alarm clock Doodle? Mine goes off at about 7:15 every morning no matter what time we go to bed and I do not need to get up that early. He is big enough to lay his head on the bed and look me in the eye, while he is standing up. Wish I could capture a pic of that, never mind no morning pics of me. DD comes out this morning and says "you are up early today". Okay what land does he live in, this is the norm. We are both retired and do enjoy the fact of no morning rush. He went back to bed. OUr other dog Jaeger stayed in bed. So any other Doodle Alarm Clocks out there or are they like Jaeger and would rather stay in a comfy bed?

how lucky are you. My Doodle alarm clock goes off at 4am. He wants his breakfast and then will go back to sleep. We are afraid to let him bark at that hour as our neighbors would probably call the police. (I wouldn't blame them)

LOL I have a 6:00am alarm clock doodle! As much as I would love another hour of sleep on the weekends, that cold nose and hot breath insists I get up to feed them NOW :)

Not here. Guess we are lucky................both of ours will wake up whenever we do anywhere between 6-9.

Samantha needs the alarm clock. She will get up whenever I do, we do our mandatory hugs and morning massage (yes, I massage her. She still hasn't figured out that trick yet) I come down, have a cup of coffee and Samantha goes on my den's sofa to go back to sleep. She refuses to go out to P&P until 10am!! and then only goes if I play ball with her. Think she has me wrapped around her paws??

Absolutely! I just retired too, and Buddy is five months old. The minute the sun is up he starts that doodle "yawning", which is only slightly quieter and more polite than a cry or bark. He is in his crate but I can literally "feel" his eyes on me waiting for the very second I open my eyes, then he pops up, wags his tail, and is so dang cute I cant bear it. He is polite, but wants to go out and get fed. No way, no how he could be convinced to sleep later. I hope that like Adina's Rosco, this will lengthen as he gets older, but not for now!

Penny is definitely an alarm clock doodle but is good enough to wait until she knows it's time for me to rise. Getting up at the same time everyday helps... I take her out to do her business and then go do my exercise. She goes back to bed!! If I didn't make her get up for her walk, she'd lie there all day looking out the window! LOL

Oh yes! Our doodle alarm clock wakes us up sometime between 5:30-6:30. If we are lucky he will jump up in bed and keep our feet warm and we can grab a few more minutes of sleep before he gets antsy to be let out!

Rosco, my youngest (now 3) used to be a horrible alarm clock doodle! He would wake up before 6 for a long time! Don't recall when that changed but I'd say at least for the last year he and the other two dogs all sleep as long as we do. Rosco now gets up the SECOND I get up but no sooner.

Jeri, I had to laugh when I read your post...because I know that face resting on the edge of the bed very well. I too have an alarm clock doodle. She is 7am. If I have to get up earlier, she still doesn't get up until her time. If I have to go somewhere early, I have to actually wake her up like one of the kids and she groans just as much as they do too!

Our dogs get up when we do:) If it's a weekday they will get up for work and school with us, if it is the weekend they sleep in. The only exception to this is our little Brittany, KD, who ocassionally will hear deer outside at 3 in the morning and decide to bark her little head off. Boy does that make my husband mad! She can't help herself though, and afterall, he is the one that wanted a hunting dog!
