Seriously, is it the weather, or what???

Toby is being a royal, pain in the bottom, jerk today, and has been for a couple of weeks. Tonight he was darting around, jumping, barking (which he never does), and just being a nuisance, and a rotten dog. Maybe it's because the weather is changing, time changed....I don't know. but whatever it is should stop, promptly. Currently he is having a time out in his crate, which hasn't happened for quite some time. He's also coming off a week where he has some stomach issues, and is just getting back to normal, so maybe he's just starting to feel well, and has energy to burn. Whatever it is can stop ANY time now.

There is a new posting; What do you do with a Doodle in the Winter?
Let's keep an eye on this discussion for sure.

It's the weather! If Peri felt better (has a cold), she would be off the wall crazy! Because she is still lively even on antibiotics and antihistimines. hehehe :) Daycare really is great. Or any type of playdate with other dogs. I can walk Peri for miles and she will not be tired when we come home. But an hour play with a friend and she is out!

Doggie Day Care? I was lucky enough to win a day at doggie day care. I'll be having surgery soon and plan on using it for this day. They are becoming popular and many new places are opening.

If nothing else, you sound like you need a break, and he clearly wants entertained. I realize these are expensive but it may be a nice treat for both of you.

Toby is 15 months old. I cannot find any fenced areas around here. There was a nice baseball diamond, but they padlocked the gates. Maybe I wasn't the only one using it? :) Anyway, I'd love to find another spot, but so far, no luck. Toby is definitely smart - I think he thinks too much!

Yeah we have the same problem at our dog parks so..........................................
We go to tennis courts that are not being used. Some days we use playgrounds at elementary schools. These intelligent dogs become board so easily. At times I feel like the

How old is your dog?

We are playing a lot of ball. He's just so bouncy!! We don't have good dog parks around here - Toby always seems to be picked on my dogs with inattentive owners, so it's backyard play and walks for us.

Perhaps the nice crisp cool weather? My Spud is always energetic these days so we never go without playing and a few daily walks.
I found what helps is playing frisbee about every two hours until dark helps to keep his puppy behavior in check. Good Luck. It will be a very long winter

We did get a touch of snow tonight, so maybe that was it. He's conked out right now...hopefully he also sleeps well tonight.

We had a challenge the last few nights but Have gotten the dogs together for some play time I think it was the Full Moon really I am serious about that I also teach and my kids were effected by the same. Wilson is better now that he is really running in the back yard with his friends.
