No loose lease for Jess.
Jess's surgeon and cardiologist stopped by this morning anticipating that Tuesday will be discharge day. We were told that they intend to keep him on a "short leash." This is fine by me.
Since Jess's heart attack was two months ago, he can most likely begin cardiac rehab the week after he returns home. We will have a nurse come to the home to give him an assessment to determine home services. Jess's brother will come up for the week to assist with transportation and keeping Jess company while I continue my modified work week.
There was no patio time for Jess today. He really does not have that privilege. We learned that the nurse last weekend made a judgment call since Jess was feeling down, she thought that would do him some good. Today's nurse had him on that short leash idea. I think I will lengthen that leash a little bit and let him on our patio when he gets home. Our roses are in bloom and the yard is waiting for him to sit and watch his Doodle romp and our Lhasa bask in the sun.
Jess's bp is still low but the docs still don't seem so terribly excited about it. At least they are not letting on it they are. We will have a follow-up with he surgeon on Friday and the cardiologist the following Tuesday. With cardiac rehab three times a week I think we will do O.K. with all that watching.
I am getting ready for a full work day and will come home to finish getting things set-up for Jess. The three of us are in great anticipation of our Doodle Daddy coming home.
