That is what my sister is calling Jess.
He had an amazing day today. The P.T. came by to give him "the six minute test." Jess had to walk for six minutes. He moved without a walker at a decent clip. It was with effort, but he was not huffing and puffing. He was so proud of himself. He asked me several times, "Did you see me?"
A coworker had come to see Jess for the first time. He was surprised, after hearing all the stories, how well he looked. (He just missed all the scary parts). Jess has really been focusing on a positive attitude and every day I see him becoming more confident that he will win this battle. He knows when to try a little more but smart enough to know when enough is enough. He is relaxed when speaking and his body language is at ease. His trademark facial expressions are becoming more obvious. Heis coming back!
We took my laptop out to the lobby and I had Jess compose an email. He is having therapy for his right hand from the carpel tunnel release (I don't know if I began blogging when he developed his second hematoma in his arm, if the CT release was not performed, he could have lost his arm) , anyway, typing was also an accomplishment for him. Of course while we had the laptop out we had to look at Doodle slideshows. : - )
Once again, Phoebe and Hobbes are ready for bed and I am up blogging.
Hope you all have a beautiful Sunday. I intend to take Jess out to the patio...
