Holly is sick again :(. I feel like this is becoming a regular thing, and I wish we knew what the cause was. She has had bad bouts of diarrhea and/or vomiting in January, March, and now May. The last two times they did not find anything and said she had probably eaten something to upset her stomach.

This time, it started last night with diarrhea so we skipped dinner. We let her out in the morning and her stools were slightly more formed and a darker color, so I thought we were on the road to recovery. As I was getting her breakfast, she suddenly threw up twice, only clear liquid. Her whole body is hot and her heart beat and breathing seem very rapid. I called the vet to tell them her symptoms, to see if we should bring her in or just wait it out. They recommended we bring her in due to the vomiting, so we are taking her in this afternoon. Thank goodness she hasn't had any further diarrhea or vomiting.

I'm starting to wonder if she has irritable bowel syndrome or something similar. We haven't changed her food since December, and we keep our house very puppy proofed. Hopefully she's ok!

Fingers crossed for you and Holly. She's a very lucky pup to have you to take care of her!

I'm sorry to hear that Holly is sick. Please let us know what the vet says. I hope it's nothing serious and she feels better soon!

I hope she is OK. Do you think it might be caused by her food?

Oh I'm so sorry that Holly is sick again. Let us know what you find out. The diarrhea and the vomiting of clear bile certainly are IBS symptoms, but they're also symptoms of other things. Even if that's what it is, I've learned it's no big deal, and the symptoms certainly can be controlled. Guinness was sick all the time prior to the diagnosis...and now that we've controlled what he's eating, he hasn't had an episode in months. I'm sure she's going to be okay!

We hope Holly feels better soon...and that your vet can figure out why this keeps happening.
