Sir Riley, the careful one!

Went on a long walk Sat. with a Rescue Golden Retriever group. Was about 3.5 miles long. Riley has always been gun shy with strange noises, sounds and new sites/ circumstances. Probably because I do not take him out on leash as much as I should; I really think this walk really helped him. With all the dogs in the walking group and all the bikers, joggers wizing by, new sites and foot traffic: he was getting numb to all the hub-bub half way through the walk. Looking forward to another nice day and long walk.

Yep, it's all about desensitizing them to the craziness. And I'm not surprised he drew so much attention. He's beautiful!

Hey, but the upside to this is I am not used to all the attention he draws. Like I said before, cars were slowing and stopping abreast of him pointing and smiling. He is a cutie, I must admit.
