Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

We recently let our doodles free in the house and when we leave and drive past the house, they are on the back of the couch in the window watching for our car. I often wondered what they did once we turned the corner...for the most part I found out they don't touch their toys-Chloe just sits in the window and waits for us sometimes falls asleep on the back of the couch-she has great balance. Myla is a little more restless, she's up and down off the couch goes to the door and cries and then we heard this from our little baby! HOWLING!!! I NEVER heard her do this before! She also barked quite a bit out the window! I really hope the neighbors don't hear her. This must drive Chloe crazy also! I'mkinf of concerned.

What do your doodles do when you are gone???

Jennifer, I have often wondered too what my doodles do when we leave. When we just had Murphy we knew he had terrible seperation anxiety as the few times we had to leave him for any period of time he would start barking and howling before we even got out of the garage. One time I had to leave him for 4 hours and I came in to find him sitting in a dark corner howling so loud that he didn't even hear me come in. It was SO pathetic. We have since added Bella and they appear to be more settled and calm when we leave, but we do know that if one of us takes one out and leaves the other home that the other is besides himself or herself and howls and runs from windows to doors and back.

I would love to set up a camcorder and see what they do. I just don't have one anymore. Maybe I can webcam though. Good idea.
