Stranded

We are stranded in Virginia. We left Canada for Florida at 5am on Friday and here we are in Winchester Virginia for another night. Our plan was to be in Florida early Sunday morning but we hope to be leaving here at that time. Some of you may already know that there was a major snowstorm (at least for here) and the highways were closed in some spots. Accidents and cars and tractor trailers in ditches all along I85.

We are going stir crazy, the kids are bored and anxious to get to Disney World but the dogs are having a blast. I found a spot behind the hotel to let them run in the snow and they are loving it. Many hotel guests are watching them play in the snow either through their windows or by coming outside. I have been asked numerous times what kind of dogs they are. I don't think they have seen too many goldendoodles.

I'm glad the dogs are happy but I got to get out of here. Going to try early in the morning, wish me luck.

I am sorry to hear the kids are bored but TG safe! Keep us posted on the trip.
Our snow didn't start until 3pm but we have at least 12". The doodles are also thrilled but I am not loving trying to get the snowballs off of Charli's legs!

We had over 6 inches of snow here in Pittsburgh. Please drive safely and have a great holiday at Disney!! ( My boss is going to be there, too!)

I'm glad your safe and tucked away for the night somewhere warm! My mother and father-in-law left for Florida Thursday but they flew. My brother and sister-in-law left early in the morning yesterday. They were driving with their 2 year old. They ran into bad weather around Kentucky/Tenn. border and had a scary moment or two while crossing Jellico. Glad to say they made it safely through! Hopefully you will have smooth sailing for the rest of the trip Linda. We still plan on leaving for Florida Christmas morning. We'll have to wait to celebrate Sheba's birthday until we get down to Florida hopefully the next day! Good luck with the remainder of the trip and hope that it works out that we can still meet up on the 28th! Merry Christmas!

I bet the people who are stuck in the hotel are enjoying your doodles. How is it traveling so far with two dudes?
