[J and Riley (and Luna)]

Here I am merrily preparing for work this week... and Luna is whining her head off at me for the last 30 minutes.

I finally realized why - it was daylight savings time as of today, and she thinks it's about dinnertime!  I guess I had better make her wait, or she will be starving tomorrow morning.

 

This reminds me of our visit to the vet Friday, and how the vet was very impressed with Luna's body condition and overall health.  She wrinkled her nose a bit when we said we feed her Wellness super 5 mix, but other than that she didn't say anything about it. 

 

Having Luna confirmed as having perfect body condition is a big relief, especially since she struggled with weight gain in her awkward teenage stage at around 6-8 months.  She was a little "pleasantly plump", despite 2-3 walks a day + multiple play sessions a day + dog park visits on weekends.  We finally figured out we need to feed her way at the bottom of the recommended feeding scale (we're feeding her the amount for a 25 lb. dog, she's 33-35 lb. and active)

 

Also - somehow, DH and I think that Luna's coat is SOFTER than it has been in a long time... is it just that she's adding a downy undercoat for winter or is it possible she's going through another coat change and her final coat will be puppy soft?  Who knows!

 

Okay enough procrastinating back to work!

Yuck! I hated how dark it was when I left work today. stupid time change. stupid winter. Why can't winter ever take a vacation?

 

Luna, you weren't fat you were just pleasantly curvy. Nothing wrong with a few curves!

I'm with Luna! This time change sucks!! I think part of the fun of having a doodle is watching their coats change and wondering how they will end up looking and feeling! It sounds like beautiful Luna is doing great!

I say it's time to abolish "time change" altogether!

My Kona was actively asking for dinner at 4 pm. I fed the doodles at 4:30 instead of the normal 5:00 to help them through the transition. Every day Kona comes to me at 5:00 to let me know it is time to eat. He isn't on Standard Time yet.

Why would your vet not approve of Wellness super 5? Just out of curiosity. How funny about daylight savings, I honestly forgot that it might make Darwin hungry! So far I haven't noticed him acting differently. 

 

Luna is such a gorgeous adorable doodle! She is one of my favorite DK doods. :-)

Myla is our alarm clock 24/7 she always knows 2 minutes before DH gets up and wakes him. The unfortunate thing is that she doesn't know what a weekend is so I have to get up with them. Too funny!
