Sweet 16!!!
Today is Butter's estimated 16th Birthday!!! ( He came to us when he was a little less than a year old.)
He shared majority of my kids' lives, taught them responsibilities, compassion, empathy, and unconditional love.
Protected us, ( I was by myself and all of my kids were so little...) brought many joy to us.
Each winter gets more difficult for him, and his arthritis seems to progress. But, he is eating OK and still enjoy going outside. He loved the snow and enjoyed the short walk in the neighborhood today.

Few years back, people questioned me to why I spent so much $ and maxed out on my credit card to operate on him when he had that horrifying bloat!! He was 12 then. But look how many more years of joy he had given us......
As I write, He is having a dream of running around... ( Legs moving ) Something that he could only do in his dream now.... :-)
