Sweetie's little girl went to her new loving home today and her boy's new parents are driving down from Central California to pick him up this weekend.

We almost kept Sweetie since she is such a nice dog and has had such a traumatic life. However she is going to a new home with a man who recently lost his wife to cancer and then lost his beloved Maltese two months later. He needs to love Sweetie and Sweetie needs his love. We know that she will be happy being the center of someone's life.

Dogs need good homes but, there are times when a person desperatly needs a dog. This is that time for Sweetie's new dad. Our loss will be his and Sweetie's gain.

Fostering is hard when you fall in love with a dog like Sweetie. She's just a sweetheart dog. However, we know that she will make the man very happy and he will also make her happy. Sweetie's little boy is turning out to be quite a heart-throb also. Ever since his sister left, he has become more and more loving. Sweetie may not be the most beautiful Maltese but, she is one of the most loving dogs and has passed those genes on to her puppies.

How sad, but how wonderful to give back to someone in need. Hope this man will keep in touch with you and send pics of Sweetie in her new home, along with her puppies new families, always helps to make you know you did the right thing.
