Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I am so grateful to Joanne and her family for giving Sweetie such a wonderful foster home. We are so happy we were given the opportunity to adopt Sweetie - we renamed her Lily. Lily has adapted very well to our home and her doodle Sister, Marcey, loves having a playmate. They are often found lounging on the big chair with us in the evening all curled up keeping us warm. The cats are still adjusting and making progress daily. We have taken Lily and Marcey to Middle Bass Island two times in the past couple of weeks and they love the water and the freedom island life brings. Joanne - thanks so much for all you did for Lily. I posted a couple of pictures on my page - enjoy! Kyle, Gordon, Marcey and Lily

I was wondering how Sweetie was doing! I look forward to hearing more about Lily
I am a sucker for a happy ending! Glad this one was! Great Job all around!
So glad Lily found the perfect forever home and a new doodle sister!
There is a little corner in heaven reserved for Joanne and FJ. Thanks you for giving Lily a wonderful new home!
Welcome, Kyle, Gordon and Marcey, and welcome back, Sweetie/Lily! It's so nice to meet your new family!
Joanne, you did good.
Welcome to DK. It sounds like Joanne did a wonderful job of finding the right home for Lily, but then there was never any doubt that she would. Joanne is amazing and loved Lily enough to let her go. I hope Lily and your family have many happy years together.
What a nice blog! I am so happy Sweetie/Lily has found a good home. I KNOW Joanne took great care of her and did a fantastic job of finding the perfect home for her. Joanne rocks!
Congratulations! I enjoyed seeing the pictures of Lily and Marcey you posted.
Everyone, please WELCOME our newest doodlers to DK. Out of 30 some applicants, I struck gold with these wonderful people.
Ahhh! This is great. This is a good sign. So wonderful to hear from you and see pictures today. Certainly made my day and many others who come to know, worry, and love a doodle in need.
I must give credit to everyone on this site and the Doodle Rescue Collective who reach out and donate kind words, funds, and emotional support to those of us who, on a whim, decide we should give a doodle in need a chance to find a better home. A better life. Thanks to my dear patient husband too! He's a rock.
Gordon, I must say, you look great in the profile picture :)
I want to be adopted and spend my summer on the island ....HA!
Lily, so glad you came into their lives. You are a silly and happy happy girl. The moment Kyle and her sister walked in the door they were scared. You went crazy with joy. You knew they were there to get you. You knew, you were going to make them happy if they gave you a chance :) Sounds like you've done good, Girl. I'm proud of you.
Kyle, I have some funny video to send you.
Thanks again for writing such a nice blog. I hope you keep coming back to post more pictures and stories!
Thank you so much for posting. I think of Joanne's work with Sweetie and wonder how it worked out. So happy for you and for Lily. Thrilled she has a loving home.
