The Gall!!

Debbie & Mya came here yesterday and we took all the girls in my car to the local Deli for lunch. The back of the truck was open, all 3 girls waited so patiently for us to leash them up. We started walking to the deli and some num-nut older man stops us and says "why would you have this dog with these 2 beautiful Poodles". Dumbfounded, I answered "they are all labradoodles" and continued on our way.

I couldn't say anything else - I was in shock! I guess it was lucky for me I was because I probably would have has some very special words for the 'human'.

Debbie and I just sat at our table for a few minutes in disbelief!

Can you believe the gall of this human?? To make a stupid statement about a face like this??? Guess he is just another purebred snob but boy, did he get that wrong all the way around!

You and I both know that Sammie is the most adorable doodle (along with her 'twin' Hartley)!!! People always think that Chase is a poodle because he has the curly coat. I take great pleasure in telling everyone that they are BOTH doodles!!!

LOVE that idea - 'Touched by a Doodle'!! Could you just image all the segments of all the doodles that do therapy work wether with the elderly, sick, reading to children or just the expression when a complete stranger is mesmerized by their personality and they just grin with love!

Our doodles have just the most amazing way of getting to people (except the ninconpoop sp?? I had the unfortunate chance of meeting) to smile. I know when my girls are the office and all I have to do is look at them and my blood pressure goes back to normal.

We are such lucky people to have them part of our lives!!

He sounds like a poor, misguided, dogless loser who is lacking in canine companionship (and manners). He needs a Doodle to get him back on the right path! If he had spent more time with Samantha it would have changed him for the better!! He needs a "Touched By A Doodle" experience!!! Maybe you could start a new TV series...

It has been my experience the world is full of small and mean people, and it sounds as though that man was both.

Re: Home Depot and Dogs. Their policy allowing dogs in the store seems to change and may even vary from store to store. I always took my dogs in there, and then one day a big sign went up saying dogs were not allowed. I started going to Lowe's, but now I see they are once again allowed, and every single employee very enthusiastically greets and makes a fuss over Jamaica.

Wow. Just wow. I think I would have been floored too. I think I would have said, "First, they are ALL the same kind of dog. Second, she's loving, intelligent, well behaved and has manners... which is more then I can say about you."
