The Great Hot Dog

So let me preface this by saying that Yoda's favorite toy is a hot dog. Awhile back I bought him a stuffed hot dog. He promptly proceeded to tear the hot dog out of the bun and rip half of the stuffing out of it. From then on he has carried the half-stuffed hot dog around whenever his humans are otherwise occupied and won't play with him. He prances around the house like he is carrying a trophy, throws it up in the air and catches it, and occasionally just lays down and chews lightly on it.

Well today I was upstairs for about half an hour sorting Christmas presents. Rick actually called me while I was up there and when he heard that Yoda was still downstairs he immediately said that he must be getting into trouble. I of course assured him that Yoda was fine and wouldn't do anything bad.

Fast forward to 30 minutes later when I came back downstairs. I did a quick check of the house and told Yoda I was so proud of him for being a good boy! We sat down on the couch and I started to check my email. All of the sudden I hear retching. I look over and of course it is Yoda. I hustle him to the door, but we don't quite make it outside before he can't hold it in anymore. At this point I'm thinking "Poor baby, I wonder why his stomach is upset.......wait....what IS that.....oh my god he ate his hot dog."

Yup, my dog ate a stuffed hot dog. I suppose we shouldn't give him any more toys that look like food because apparently he can't tell the difference!!!
