Last night I learned what it feels like to have 70 lbs. of doodle blindside you! We were getting ready to go to a dinner theater show last night when I let Yoda out one last time. He didn't come when I called him, and of course I went around the house to find him racing the fence with his buddy the pug next door. When he saw me he started running inside, so I turned back around the corner of the house to let him in.
Suddenly...I'm on the ground. Yes, that's right. My silly dood raced around the corner and took me out like a wrecking ball! So here I am, laying on the ground in my dress, all made up and ready to go out! I layed there stunned for a minute until I figured out that when I fell, my head bopped the pavement and I also banged my wrist and took all the skin off of my palm. At this point Yoda was just standing there looking at me like come on Mom, get up off the ground! I dragged myself into the house where Rick cleaned me up and gave me the first aid and painkillers I needed to head out to the show! We were late, but at least I had my battle scars to prove it wasn't my fault!
Yoda and I are both banged up today because he skinned the inside of one of his legs and is moving a little slower as well. Lesson learned: Never turn your back on a doodle!
