The Nerve!!! Doodle Vent

Ok... I am a little upset at mommy! Aparently she thinks I am a horse! She got this thing called a "Gentle" Leadr. It goes around my face and pulls me! Why she got it? I don't know!!!! According to her, I pull? What? I am aksided... I try to chase a bird... But I can't go anywear. She classified THAT as pulling! Do any of you doodles have this problem too??

Second Problrm:: Tiny treats??? So She decided to get me thees, teeny tiny liittle treats at the pet store. She wants me to be healthy. I don't care about being healthy, just bbring back the milk bones! What abut the little cookie things at the petstore that look like human cookies? I am MAD know!

And this is my least favorite.... Grooming oooo I hate that brush! It is annoying,spikey, gross, and Blahhhhh! Just let me get matts! It is less horrific than brusing.... Nail clipping.... Is my LEAST Favorite. It is very painful and I hate that noise! I makes my jump. Then I whine and get mad at mom.. I don't like to shun her... But she has to be taught whatt is acseptabble!

Ha ha - you got it girl!  Gentle Leader my A#@!  That are Cruel Leader!  Mom can't get one on me!   And that cookie thing - I just figured out that mom breaks mine up into little bits so I think I'm getting lots of cookies but I caught on.  Okay, I'm a little slow but eventually I figured it out after a couple years.  

The grooming thing - I sit still and let her brush me for a little while then I bolt.  She just says "oh well Picco, you sat so nice I'll let you go play. We'll get back to it later."  Then it takes her about a week to do my whole body - hee hee hee

That makes sense with the tiny treats:) I never thought of it that way.

I act the same when she gets out the GL but, it makes my face feel weird...

I wear a seat belt harness when I ride in the Jeep. I get real excited when mom gets it out. She put the S.B.H. on me then the G.L. then took me for a ride. I learned real quick that G.L. + S.B.H = ride. P.S. Mom named me for Bill Haley and The Comets, waaaay b4 my time.

Hey haley! Just wondering how you and your mom got used to using the GL. I used to use it and mom used to give me treats when she put it on me, and one day I just became totally afraid of it. I run to my kennel everytime they even pull it out, no matter how many treats I get!
Ps my moms name is haley! What a wonderful name !

Hi Bella, Haley here. I LOVE my G. L. When my mom puts it on me it means we are going for a RIDE or somewhere FUN.

As for tiny treats, I get more treats because they are tiny and only about 3 calories each. I like to keep my svelte figure you know.

Grooming….I don’t like brushes either. I let my mom know about that when I was a little puppy. She only combs me using a wide tooth comb and then a fine tooth comb. I don’t care much for manicures but put up with them because I get SWEET POTATO for a reward.

my mom used to make me wear a gentle leader too :(. after many hours of rubbing and scratching at my snout she finally switched to a harness, but whenever im starting to act naughty she will pull the GL out and boy does my behavior turn right around!

If dogs could only really talk! We'd be shocked at what they're thinking, I'm sure! And can you imagine at how often our dogs "laugh" at us?
