Rosco's Non-Doodle Puppy Playdate

A friend of mine got a springer spaniel pup a couple months ago and we've been trying to get our dogs together but with bad weather, traveling, etc... it was only today we accomplished our goal. Bailey is 5 months old and seeing these pics of him playing with Rosco made me think of Ned/Clancy playing with their Springer Spaniel bro, Gordie, but with a size swap!

Interestingly, they didn't play right away. They mostly did their own thing and then after Bailey gained control of Rosco's forever squeaky toy...THEN things got exciting. Another odd thing is that Rosco hasn't humped another dog besides Thule for years! And when this pup (who was considerably smaller than Rosco) had the squeaky...Rosco repeatedly mounted the pup! Go figure!

The squeaky toy is a cheapo from Walm Mart a co-worker bought for the puppy 'shower' they threw for me at work. I have no idea how it has lasted sooo long! Nothing else has.

So gald they got along and it looked like they had awesome time together Our pups in the neighborhood play in our backyard and we love watching them wrestle and take breaks from each other Where did you get that forever squeaky toy We take Wilson's away after awhile only because he likes to try and get the squeeky out!

Yes, reverse that size differential. I think mostly Springers are interested in sniffing, sniffing, sniffing.

Looks like they got along very well, maybe Rosco is ready for a 4 legged little sister.;-)
