The Rain Stopped (at least for a few hours)

It has been raining for 2 days straight. I know I shouldn't complain as we are coming out of a multi-year drought. But Harlow doesn't like to go outside to 'do her business' in the rain. We are still in house breaking mode, so this means I get to go stand out in the rain trying to convince Harlow that she isn't going to melt.

Today the sun broke through for a few hours and I took the opportunity to go pull weeds (Hey, we live in the south, when it rains you can watch the weeds grow inches before your eyes). Harlow loved romping around the yard, playing fetch with the tennis ball and ‘King of the Hill’ with the Beagles. We spent about 2 hours just tooling around the back yard. Then we came in and Harlow crashed for a long afternoon nap.

Well I live in the North wayyyyy North of you. And it has been sunny and 30 degrees here for the past week! WOOOOOOHOOOO!!! Which is amazing because the weather here is atrocious - gloomy and cloudy when it isnt raining buckets or snowing blizzards!

I feel your pain. I'm in West Virginia, and it rained nonstop from Wednesday afternoon til 7 p.m. tonight. I am also housebreaking 2 puppies, and I am really sick of standing outside in the pouring rain! We're supposed to have sunshine tomorrow, yay! On the bright side, the pups had a blast mud wrestling; it was so funny to watch, it was worth the hassle of cleaning them up!

I hate it when it rains. I change the dogs whole routine when it rains....it gives me out keeping the mud and water off them. I hope you get all sunny weather soon.
