[Mimi Linna, Lilly and Lolly]

Happy New Years to all.

We just returned from Tucson (back to nebraska) where Lilly got to meet new desert dog friends. She had never been to desert and did just fine. Silly me worrying about her peeing without grass. forgot the puppy stage of her peeing whereever she squatted.

New news. I had written that we were getting a puppy in Feburary and was going to name her Sophie..well plans changed and we are getting a goldendoodle that was born in July of 2011, just a month after our Lilly was born.  Our breeder bought her to breed, but she had a mild hip issue and they didn't want to breed her. so Lolly will be joining our household NEXT WEEK.

 Our breeder, the Mueller's are wonderful people and did not want to send the dog back to the breeder and not know what would happen to her.  They wanted to make sure that she went to a good home and we feel honored that they thought of us. She is housebroken and loves kids having been brought up in their home, but has not been on a leash or had any training. She has had the run of 5 acreas so having to pee and poop on a leash will be a new experence. I just read that and it looked like she was going to have to pee on a leash.. but ya'll know what I mean.

I have never had my babies early, but this must be what it is like, hurrying to get everything bought and ready for the new addition. crate, collar, leashes, car seat, harness, toys, bowls.

Lolly is getting spayed this Friday. We will drive the three hours to pick her up and taking Lilly with us to meet her. It will be interesting to see if Lilly remembers her first home and her mom. Since Lolly has been raised with other dogs, i am sure she will be fine with Lilly and Lilly seems to get along with the dogs she has met, so I am thinking positive thoughts of life long buddies.
