I knew when my children were small that their little ears picked up all sorts of things that DH and I said.  This morning I learned how my little Dood is listening, as well.  She has a lot of fun watching and barking at little critters she sees on our tv in the family room.  Doggies and kitties are her personal favorites, and she will race to the tv and stand on her back legs while wagging her tail and growling!  So, dh and I laugh and talk about how Brulee wants to play with the doggie on the tv.

While I was in the kitchen, Brulee was at her bowl eating her breakfast.  I could see the tv, but Brulee couldn't as we have an island that would have blocked her view.  I spoke to her and said that she should go look at the tv; there was a doggie on the tv...Brulee looke at me, cocked her head, raced into the familly room, and ran to the tv.  She was there in time to still see the doggie and she began barking!

Now, we had no idea that she knew the words, and we really thought it was just a coincidence.  So a bit later, when we had the chance, we tested out the words on her, again.  She flew to the tv, again!  So funny!   Little ears are listening!

Anyone else discover their Dood has picked up your words unintentionally?

I don't know of any unitentional things that really suprised me, but I must say that Shelby's recognition of her doggie friends names is adorable.   If I say.... "Malu, Knox, Macy, Bailey or Tucker" she gets soooo excited as she knows we are going to see them or they are coming over!  It's adorable!
